Dynamic Horizons is a member of the Australasian Facilitators Network. Our recent facilitation work has included:
Deliberative Poll
In March 2007, Dynamic Horizons was a part of the facilitation team in a National Deliberative Poll (DP) on the relationship between Muslim and Non-Muslim Australians.
A randomly selected microcosm of the Australian population came together at Old Parliament House in Canberra to deliberate on the cultural, political and social divides inherent in Australian society between Muslim and Non-Muslim Australians.
This DP focused on the various aspects of the cultural, social and political differences in Australia, including what it means to be Australian, how Muslim and Non-Muslim peoples within Australia might harmoniously live together, and the role of the Government in facilitating racial and cultural harmony – with respect to policies on immigration, education and employment. The informed voice of this microcosm of the Australian population may then inform Government policy on any future changes to policy on immigration, education, employment and multiculturalism.
This DP was the culmination of a series of “roundtable-deliberations” conducted with several Muslim groups in Australia in which Dynamic Horizons also played a key role in facilitating.

Conflict Resolution
In 2006, Dynamic Horizons was chosen to facilitate a resolution between 2 conflicting business partners, who had reached a point where their only perceived way forward was legal action. Over a 3 month period, Dynamic Horizons met with each partner a number of times to define the sources of conflict within the business relationship, and to invent options personal to each partner for the way forward.
The process culminated in a coming together of the partners in a facilitated meeting to discuss mutual options for resolution, ultimately reaching agreement on the preferred way forward. The agreement has stood the test of time, with both partners highly satisfied with the result achieved. And the best part – no lawyers!
